Transport services in Portugal may be disrupted on 30 January and 2 February 2012, due to a general transport strike.   It has been advised that Lisbon ferry routes are likely to be affected by the strike action.  River ferry workers will strike three hours per shift on 30 January and Soflusa workers will strike three hours per shift on 2 February.  Passengers using public buses may also be affected by strike action from STCP workers who will stop work from 1000hrs to 1600hrs local time.  Lisbon Metro workers plan to strike for 24 hours on 2 February.  Travellers are recommended to allow extra time for their journeys in case of delays.  Chambers will continue to monitor the situation and will keep you advised of any updates.  Please contact your Chambers travel team for advice or assistance.
